Canada eTA FAQ & Tips is written by the team behind GetETA, a private service that helps travellers prepare and submit Canada eTA applications and check their status.

For years we have been solving the same problems for travellers, week after week: a wrong digit in a passport number, a child’s birth date typed into the wrong box, an eTA that died with an old passport, a family of five where one is refused the night before the flight, someone applying for an eTA they never needed. Every article in this section comes from cases we actually handled — not from reading the rules. As the saying goes, nobody is wiser than the one who has been through it.

GetETA is not affiliated with, endorsed by, or operated by the Government of Canada. We do not issue travel authorizations or make immigration decisions. You can always apply directly on the official Government of Canada website.
